Hello, dear donors,
After 10 days at Dr. Vel's clinic in Croatia, another course of Misho's rehabilitation has ended. There are significant improvements - better eye contact, longer tracking of objects, more careful observation, he teases his sister, and kisses me on the cheek... This is true happiness. May God continue the positives.
According to the specialists, Misho has a chance to get out of the spectrum, but perseverance and a lot of work are needed. To do this, we need to increase occupational therapy to at least twice a week, include water therapy and hippotherapy, which would help a lot with his cognitive difficulties.
You know that we are from Vratsa and travel twice a week to a speech therapist in Sofia. We will fight to find and include Misho in these additional activities. His development is slow and requires a lot of work, but all this needs to happen now - while both hemispheres of the brain are "open" and can build and strengthen important connections. Experts say that after 9–10 years of age, the possibilities for change decrease, so time is precious.
We do not give up and we fight. The next course in Croatia is in February 2026, and in the meantime we have to continue with the paid therapies in Bulgaria. Please, do not stop supporting us. I want to be able to get my child out of this state. I believe in him – and despite the difficulties we face every day, he always finds a way to make me happy and give me the strength to move forward.
Thank you! Stay healthy!
With respect,
Tsvetelina Kirilova
