Free medical examinations for couples with reproductive problems

Since the beginning of October, the Municipality of Varna and the Specialized Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology – Varna “Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stamatov” have been implementing a joint reproductive screening program. The program includes examinations, consultations, and diagnostics for couples with reproductive problems (ultrasound examinations and Anti-Müllerian Hormone testing). The initiative targets residents of the Municipality of Varna aged over 18 who have unfulfilled reproductive plans and fertility difficulties. The screening is expected to cover more than 150 couples. Appointments can be scheduled on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by calling 087 95 999 02.

The program is funded by the Municipality of Varna, while the examinations and consultations are carried out at the Specialized Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology – Varna “Prof. Dr. Dimitar Stamatov” by obstetrician-gynecologists with experience in reproductive medicine – Prof. Dr. Emil Kovachev and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stefan Kisyov. The expected outcomes of the joint screening initiative include improved awareness among the consulted couples, guidance for future family planning, diagnosis of infertility, and recommendations for possible follow-up treatment. If necessary, couples will also be referred to other specialists.
