Viktor’s family has already exhausted almost all possible options to finance his rehabilitation (bank loans, charity concerts, bazaars, donations from friends and relatives) and they need our support to continue and successfully complete his treatment. Let us help them together and give this brave little boy a chance to grow up happy and healthy like other children! *"Hello, kind people! Viktor, our little and wonderful boy, is fighting a serious condition. To provide him with the necessary rehabilitation, we are turning to you for support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring us closer to our dream of giving Viktor a better quality of life. Our cheerful, curious, and brave child has been battling the challenges of his condition for seven years. Viktor was born prematurely at 32 weeks, weighing only 1850 grams. At the very beginning of his life, he underwent two neurosurgical operations and had a shunt installed. Unfortunately, the challenges did not stop there, as he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (quadriplegia). We began daily rehabilitation, which showed some results, but they were not enough. After two and a half years of rehabilitation in specialized clinics in Bulgaria, Viktor was still largely immobile and could barely sit upright for a few minutes. We decided to continue treatment in Istanbul, Turkey — to do everything possible to help our child walk and become independent. And we were not wrong — after several years of monthly procedures at the Turkish hospital, Viktor can now stand and walk with a walker, albeit cautiously and in small steps. The rehabilitation there is expensive, and the accompanying costs are increasingly challenging for our family. That is why we are asking for your help. With your support, we believe Viktor will continue to progress. We hope that in time, with your help, he will lead a full and independent life. Each year, the hospital provides an offer for 12 months ahead, which includes the biweekly monthly stay for Viktor’s rehabilitation. Since Viktor is now in first grade, we cannot continue at the same pace as before, but we will continue rehabilitation because stopping it would endanger the progress he has made so far. Before each hospital visit, we pay €1,872 (3,750 BGN) for the procedures alone, and approximately another 1,400 BGN is required for transportation and other expenses for the accompanying person.
