Help Plamen! Half a year ago, we lived peacefully and happily, never suspecting what was ahead. Everything started with abdominal pain for my husband, Plamen. After medical examinations, it was discovered that he had a pancreatic problem, and unexpectedly, he was also diagnosed with diabetes. We began treatment and hoped everything would improve. Unfortunately, his eyesight deteriorated to the point that he could barely see anything. Further tests and consultations revealed that Plamen has severe, advanced diabetic retinopathy. In Bulgaria, he received two injections, but there was no improvement. His condition continued to worsen, and we were told he could soon lose his sight completely. With a last hope, we went to Turkey, where doctors offered a chance for treatment. We covered the first procedures ourselves. Shortly before our second visit, my husband suffered a hemorrhage in his right eye, requiring urgent surgery. Thanks to donors and personal funds, the operation was successfully completed. A subsequent injection in his left eye brought some improvement. Now we are preparing for a new trip to Turkey on January 5, 2026, for laser therapy on the right eye, an injection in the left eye, and a full medical examination. The cost of this treatment stage is 5,000 euros (approximately 10,000 BGN). We cannot manage this alone. We have taken loans, received help from relatives, and generous donors have supported us so far, but we cannot continue without your help.
