My name is Maria Kandina, and I am writing to you with the hope of receiving your support and help in my fight against severe health problems that have been tormenting me for several years. In 2020, after a severe case of COVID-19, I lost 10 kilograms over a year and a half, and multiple health issues arose. I felt awful and had constant pain in the lower right part of my stomach. Later, I developed pain in my right shoulder, right clavicle, and back, along with difficulty breathing, insomnia, and trouble swallowing. I underwent several surgeries on my right breast, while the stomach pain and intestinal problems worsened significantly. I had a total of six colonoscopies and five gastroscopies, but I still did not receive an accurate diagnosis or proper treatment. Doctors in Bulgaria keep referring me from one hospital to another, and this has been going on for five years. In recent months, my overall condition has worsened significantly. I experience difficulty swallowing and speech problems, episodic seizures of unknown cause, swelling on the right side of my face, and a lump with redness inside the right side of my mouth. I am practically bedridden with constant seizures and severe stomach pain. My hope is tied to a hospital in Turkey, where they offer a comprehensive examination and testing of a tumor that was discovered during one of my previous hospital stays in Bulgaria, but I was discharged without surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of treatment abroad is unaffordable for me. I have managed to raise just over 5,400 BGN through a DMS campaign, but I still need about 10,000 BGN to cover the full amount required by the Turkish hospital.
