Hello, kind people! My name is Ganka Yuliyanova, and I am the mother of a wonderful little boy – Bozhidar Yavorov. My husband and I had dreamed for a long time of having a child – the fruit of our love. We went through many difficulties, but finally the miracle happened – I became pregnant. Unfortunately, our joy was short-lived. After contracting COVID-19 in the sixth month of my pregnancy, I developed complications, and despite treatment, in the eighth month, after heavy bleeding, I was admitted urgently for a C-section. Immediately after birth, Bozhidar had a seizure and was placed in an incubator. The next day, the seizures continued, and he was moved to the intensive care unit on oxygen. Tests revealed that he had a hemorrhage in the left side of his brain. He was infected with a microbe that later seriously affected his brain tissue and led to cyst formation. After further testing, my child was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. It became clear that there was no hope for our child in Bulgaria. Such hope was offered in Turkey. With our last strength and faith, we decided to try treatment in Istanbul, where we began with our own resources “Bobath therapy” and medication-based therapy to restore and develop his brain. Over the next 12 months, Bozhidar needs to attend the rehabilitation clinic for limb movement, which will cost 22,464 EUR. Rehabilitation must be accompanied by exosome therapy costing 16,800 EUR – treatment that is extremely expensive and financially impossible for us. Therefore, I turn to you, kind people, asking for help. My son Bozhidar needs a chance at life, development, and a future.
