Hello, kind people!
My name is Svetla, and I am the grandmother of 3-year-old Anton from Samokov – a wonderful, cheerful child with a very rare genetic condition called GRIN2B. Subsequently, Anton was also diagnosed with muscle hypotonia and epilepsy.
Anton does not speak, cannot feed himself, and does not walk steadily. We periodically visit a hospital in Turkey for monitoring of his condition. For a year and a half now, Anton has been receiving specialized therapy at a rehabilitation center in Bulgaria twice a week, which costs 1,360 BGN per month.
Thanks to the therapeutic procedures, Anton has made significant progress, but for him to have a chance at more normal development, the treatment must continue consistently and purposefully. Unfortunately, these procedures are not covered by the National Health Insurance.
Our family has exhausted all of its savings while treating Anton’s grandfather, who suffers from severe kidney failure and has undergone multiple surgeries. At this moment, we have no financial means, and Anton’s needs cannot wait.
We are asking for support — every contribution is a ray of hope for our little boy.
With respect,
Svetla Ilieva Yordanova
