Stanislava Staneva is 37 years old and the mother of a wonderful 7-year-old boy. Until three months ago, she was a healthy and energetic young woman devoted to caring for her child. Today, she is almost completely immobile and fighting for her life.

Everything started suddenly with a hormonal imbalance. As a result, her body began retaining huge amounts of fluid, causing severe swelling throughout her body. In just a few months, she gained over 60 kilograms.

Her condition led to serious complications, including damage to her heart and lungs, diabetes, asthma, neurological issues, and sleep apnea that threatens her life every night.

Doctors say urgent treatment is needed to stop the rapid weight gain and remove the retained fluids. Stanislava urgently needs a course of special injections costing around €1,500, as well as a breathing machine for sleep apnea costing €1,200.

Because of her condition, she cannot work. She and her young son survive on minimal social support, which is not enough to cover even basic living expenses.

The total amount needed for the treatment and medical equipment is €2,700 (around 5,300 BGN).

Stanislava wants only one thing — to live and raise her son.
